Performance — Cesium globe under entity load
Status: PENDING
Goal:
- Put the page on the
heavyload preset. - Start the
30 sprofiling run. - While the run is in flight, click all 4 beacons — one at a time, each an
oversized red
BEACONmarker somewhere among the thousands of load entities. A hit is a Cesium scene pick of that marker: clicking a neighbouring load point, a label or the bare globe counts as a miss. The globe keeps spinning, so the beacon drifts west while you aim.
A CesiumJS globe spinning under thousands of point, polyline and label entities. Imagery is the
Natural Earth II set bundled with the Cesium build, so the globe needs no Ion token and issues no
tile requests: the frame time you measure is rendering, not network. Cesium drives its own render
loop; the profiler samples the frames that result, which is why this fixture also reports main-thread
long tasks. The workload spec is served out-of-band at
/performance/cesium-globe.json.
